A new general category included for 2012 called Artwork, could also be interesting for photographers as it is described as including ‘digital photo illustrations and information graphics displaying creativity, innovation and style, combined with artistic technique’.

With the final presentation and gala dinner held on 30th November in Canberra, the deadline for submissions is only ONE week away – 30th August 2012.

Best Portrait Prize in 2011 was won by Cairns based, multi-award winning photographer, Brian Cassey for his amazing portrait of “Carol – Burns Survivor’.  He received a Nikon D700 and an AF-S 85mm F1.4 lens.
